This is to notify the general public that the Federal University of Technology, Babura, Jigawa State, will soon commence admission into various undergraduate programmes offered in the institution for the 2023/2024 academic session.

The Federal University of Technology, Babura, Jigawa State (FUTB) aims to produce High-Quality Health and Medical Professionals with broad knowledge, skills and value, able to strengthen institutional capacity for disease control and surveillance as well as bridge the gap in medical research in the Country.

The approved cut-off marks and available courses for UTME admission into the University are not yet out.

Admission Requirements

The admission requirements into the undergraduate programmes of the Federal University of Technology, Babura, Jigawa State, shall be as follows:

1. All admissions into the University shall be through the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB);
2. For admission to 100 Level (via UTME), candidates must: obtain five (5) credits at SSCE (or equivalent) in relevant subjects at not more than two (2) sittings, including credit passes in English Language and Mathematics; and attain acceptable points in UTME in relevant subjects;
3. Those who meet the requirements for admission shall be subjected to a screening interview to be conducted by the University.
4. The University shall not accept transfer students until at least the first two years of its existence. In addition to meeting the general admission requirements, prospective students must also satisfy the faculty and departmental requirements.

Application Procedures

Online registration for the Screening Exercise will commence on Monday, 9th October 2023 and end at Midnight on Sunday, 19th November, 2023.

1. Login to https://myfutb.futb.edu.ng
2. Login using your UTME Number and UTME Score.
3. Update your contact details for generating REMITA Payment.
4. REMITA Retrieval Reference Number (RRR) will automatically be generated for you.
5. DE Candidates will proceed to upload their SSCE and ‘A’ Level Result(s).
6. You can pay in any of REMITA’s payment options. Clicking “Pay Now” to open the payment dialogue, OR click on “Generate Payment Schedule” to generate, download and print a payment schedule that contains all the necessary information needed for payment at a Bank or the REMITA website. All candidates are to pay the sum of Two Thousand Naira N2,000 only (exclusive of the REMITA charges)
7. After successful payment, you can update your UTME details.
8. Upload your passport-sized photograph.
9. Update your O’ level examinations, maximum of 2 sittings.
10. Upload electronic copies of your O’ level results and UTME result slip.
11. Generate, download/print the acknowledgement slip to complete your registration.
